Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CoPayee. By creating an account or using CoPayee, you agree to these Terms.

1. What CoPayee is (and isn't)

CoPayee is a software tool that helps you prepare and deliver paperwork related to insurance check endorsements. CoPayee is not a law firm, bank, mortgage servicer, insurance carrier, or licensed public adjuster. We do not provide legal, financial, or insurance advice.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Free-tier accounts require verification as a contractor or public adjuster.

Signatures collected through CoPayee are legally binding under the ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 7001-7006) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA). By signing a document through CoPayee, you consent to do business electronically.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically. You may cancel at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Overage charges are billed monthly in arrears.

6. Refunds

Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Annual subscriptions may be refunded on a pro-rata basis within 30 days of purchase. The Homeowner DIY Claim Kit is refundable within 7 days of purchase if no packet has been generated.

7. Intellectual property

CoPayee, its logo, and its software are owned by CoPayee. You retain ownership of all data and documents you upload. You grant CoPayee a limited license to process your data solely to provide the service.

8. Disclaimers

CoPayee is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that any mortgage servicer, insurance carrier, or other third party will accept or act on any packet generated through CoPayee.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoPayee's total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of CoPayee is limited to the amount you paid CoPayee in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced with at least 30 days' notice.
